Halo Infinite is a first-person shooter game. It was developed by 343 Industries and issued by Xbox Game Studios. Halo Infinite is the sixth chief entry in the Halo series and the third one in the "Reclaimer Saga.” The campaign revolves around the human super soldier, Master Chief, and his fight against his enemy, who has been banished to the Forerunner ring world Zeta Halo. The multiplayer part of the game is free-to-play, as opposed to previous installments in the series.

When does the Halo Infinite Season 2 start?

Being a player driven game, Halo Infinite has left everyone wondering what lies ahead. Most of the anticipation lies around the release date of Season 2. The fact that there’s still a lot undiscovered in the first leg of the game engine makes it only fair to wonder what good things kick off in season 2. Here is the big announcement, so mark your calendars as Halo Infinite Season 2 begins on May 3, 2022.

What to expect from Halo Infinite Season 2?

343 Industries has spilled beans on what to expect from Halo Infinite Season 2. It will bring a new map for core players called Catalyst and also an advanced Big Team Battle Map with Breaker. BTB will also witness the return of Jeff Steitzer’s recognizable voice as the announcer. Halo Infinite Season 2 will also bring forth one of the franchise’s staple modes, King of the Hill. Attrition, which gathered a lot of players’ love as a temporary mode for the Cyber Showdown event, will be a permanent mode in Season 2.

The start of Season 2 also suggests that we’ll soon be getting an updated Halo Infinite Battle Pass, with 100 levels of new rewards for players to unlock through the completion of tasks or challenges. However, the good news is that there is no pressure to finish Season 1 Battle Pass before Season 2. You will also have the option to purchase the former and earn its respective rewards even after the latter season ends.

However, beyond the start of Season 2, there’s a lot to do in Halo Infinite. There are audio logs to find, skills to unlock, and the LASO Achievement to earn. So here’s a suggestion to knock these things off your list while you wait for the Halo Infinite Season 2 to start.

What has 343 Industries planned for the franchise fans?

With Halo Infinite Season 1 coming to an end, it’s time to ponder and assess what 343 Industries has planned for its diligent franchise gamers. Players have been anticipating and expecting a content overhaul since day one. However, 343 Industries has stimulated their appetite with constant free content updates, like event passes and new game modes. Now is the time to roll out big horses, the new season with Halo Infinite’s multiplayer.

Season 1 witnessed the add-on of new cosmetics, including a new armor which is the core reminiscent of Halo Reach and other game modes. These were incorporated in the form of the battle pass and events such as Cyber Showdown, Tenrai, and the most recent, Tactical Ops. However, Season 2 aims to do all of this and so much more.

As mentioned earlier, Season 2 is determined to deliver new content in the form of game modes, story content, and customization that can keep the gamers hooked, including two new maps and a classic re-addition of the player’s favourite mode from the former Halo titles.

Beyond the release date

We have established that the Season 1 for Halo Infinite ends on May 2signifying that Season 2 will begin the following day, May 3, as stated in the March update by 343 Industries. After being sucked deep into the game, the players had been wanting more and had been patiently waiting to see what more the game has to offer.

Halo took some bold moves and did not shy away from breaking the molds of one or two-month battle passes. Season 1 of Halo Infinite will last from November 15, 2021, until May 2, 2022, almost six months. Their bold move was a welcomed change by the community as they didn’t feel entitled to play the game or complete the battle pass. In fact, it allowed the players to keep a more casual and relaxed approach without working them up on the rewards they would miss if the time ran out.

 Story and Armor sets

The new season makes room for a new addition to the Halo Infinite story.  It revolves around the tales of Spartan Hieu Dinh and Spartan Sigrid Eklund. The players will learn more about their story and adventures as the new season premieres, promising to be a mix of cinematics, Battle Pass items, and story-themed events, keeping the players hooked and glued. Also, the new armor core will be free to play in the season, making it all the more appealing. The players will also have the ability to customize their Spartans, enabling them to feel accustomed to the Halo Infinite World.

Maps and Modes

Every Season brings something new to look out for. What is it in this season? Well, this season brings to its gamers the much hyped modes and new maps. Season 2 is all set to launch the two new modes called “Land Grab” and “Last Spartan Standing.” It also brings back the player favorite mode, “King of the Hill.”

Season 2 also confirms the launch of a new Arena map called “Catalyst” and a Big Team Battle map called “Breaker.” While the concept arts will be published, their final drafts are not yet public. For more information, the players will have to wait until April, when the promotional campaign of Halo kicks in, with narrative content and brand new customization options.

Bottom Line

Overall, Halo Infinite Season 2 looks like a promising advancement, full of fun. From what is being anticipated, it looks like 343 Industries will deliver what the players have been demanding and so much more, creating an experience like never before!
