14 Of The Best Hidden Gems On Xbox Game Pass

By Admin | 16 September,2021 | 7 minutes, 31 sec

The Xbox Game Pass library is jam packed with well-known titles that should attract anyone thinking of signing up for the service. However, in addition to these well-known titles, there are treasures or xbox hidden gems in the rough waiting to be discovered.

Deep Rock Galactic

Deep Rock Galactic may appear basic at first glance, but it conceals a richly layered cooperative experience. It is one of the best xbox one hidden gems games. Players choose one of four bearded comrades before setting out to collect valuable minerals in a variety of cosmic locations while battling against an onslaught of alien arachnids bent on gobbling them alive. The randomly created dungeons are spectacular, and the centre area between missions is filled with amusing diversions and for your adventurous dwarves to engage in.

Slime Rancher

Casual farming games are not really a new element by any means. Games that allow players to live a basic life of producing crops and caring for animals have long been seen as entertaining, from Stardew Valley to Harvest Moon. While Slime Rancher does not provide any new farming simulation mechanics, it is such a well-crafted experience that any admirer of the genre will fall in love with it right away. It’s gratifying gameplay pattern is pure delight, and caring for beautiful slimes is one of the most soothing jobs a gamer has ever experienced.

Human Fall Flat

Human Fall Flat establishes a lovely balance between platforming and puzzles, requiring players to solve a number of physics-based brain teasers in order to proceed through the game's cleverly crafted stages. Though it's a fun solo game, it really excels when played jointly with others - collectively brainstorming answers to the game's various puzzles and winning games gems is at the heart of the pleasure here.

Grounded is a game worth checking out, even if it's only accessible as a Game Preview for now. Obsidian Entertainment's game takes the fundamental survival experience and puts it through a Honey-I-Shrunk-the-Kids perspective. Grounded is a remarkable offering on Xbox Game Pass thanks to its fresh take on a familiar genre. Instead of fighting a horde of zombies, players must struggle with the insects and spiders that live in a common garden. Grounded is a game to keep an eye on, even if it is still a work in progress as it appears to be one of the best xbox game pass games.

Celeste established itself as a top-tier indie platformer with timely and sensitive themes in its simple yet compelling tale. Celeste, despite the attention it has received thus far, has not impacted nearly as many people as it deserves. The necessity for this small darling's exposure and appreciation is clear. Its superb controls make the game's pretty difficult levels approachable while yet challenging.  You can also use multiple screen recorders to record the gameplay and upload on YouTube.

What Remains Of Edith Finch

It's not often that a computer game tells such an engaging tale, one that focuses on topics like loss, sadness, and boredom, but What Remains of Edith Finch does so with elegance. The investigation of the creaky Finch house connects unforgettable dramatic episodes. It would be a disrespect to the game to reveal what these stories contain. To summarise, there is no other hidden indie game that compares to What Remains of Edith Finch when it comes to conveying a compelling tale in a way that only a video game could.

Despite the fact that Prey was built by the incredibly skilled Arkane Studios, it did not acquire nearly enough attention, despite its superb performance as a paragon of the realistic simulation genre. This fascinating sci-fi game combines the world-building of BioShock with the player choice of Dishonored to create an unsettlingly rewarding tale. Prey was included in the Xbox Game Pass catalogue among several other Bethesda titles, but it would be a pity if this amazing game got lost in the crowd.

Outer Wilds

Outer Wilds is a great game to play if you want to relax while still having fun. Outer Wilds combines game advancement with discovery, with each new piece of knowledge bringing the player closer to the game's conclusion. Despite the fact that the storey is constrained by a time-loop feature that keeps players on the same day over and over, each trip reveals something fresh. Outer Wilds is a one-of-a-kind adventure game that any fan of first-person adventure and puzzle games should explore.

Totally Accurate Battle Simulator

The completely ridiculous strategy simulation by TABS is not to be taken seriously. The idea of seeing Zeus and an army of archers (armed with snakes as ammo) fight on a swarm of unarmed bards reinforced by vampires will be tough to resist for most. The basic gameplay loop is straightforward: players are given a certain number of points to spend on troops ranging from furious barbarians to minotaurs. Following the setup of the troops, a near-perfect simulation of the staged combat begins, along with absurdly constructed physics dynamics. The game's trial version even has a campaign mode, which challenges players to create an army to face increasingly bizarre circumstances.

Frostpunk is a unique survival strategy game that challenges players against a chilly apocalypse while guiding a band of survivors through the start of a volcanic winter. As their expanding community faces sub-zero temperatures amidst resource and energy limitations, painful decisions and strict measures will be required to preserve life.

Hotshot Racing

What happened to the fist-pumping arcade racer with the over-the-top red chassis? We miss them so much, and we want to relive that experience. We can envision going into a filthy old arcade someplace in Blackpool, jumping into a machine, and soaring past others to the finish line as we drift around curves. Hotshot Racing perfectly captures the thrills of arcade racing. It's got Daytona Racing, Sega Rally, and Ridge Racer running through its blood, and it knows what it's doing. It's enough to finish a race in the morning to be set up for the rest of the day, thanks to multiplayer options, precise controls, and one of the most colourful spectacles of the year.

The Last Campfire

The Last Campfire was perhaps the last game we anticipated from Hello Games, the creators of No Man's Sky. It's everything No Man's Sky isn't: self-contained, wonderfully written, and centred on the tale of a single character. But it was also one of the year's most moving and emotional games.

We were enthralled by this beautifully created game and wished we could have spent more time in its universe. It's unusual to come across a game that's so upbeat and joyful, and even rarer to stumble across something that bypasses zombie modes and headshots in preference of attempting to cure the planet and bring the dead back to life.

Chicken Police

The most badass, unforgettable protagonist of the year being a detective rooster who's only a few days away from retirement was definitely a long shot. Sonny Featherland was a hard-drinking chicken with a death desire, and we had a lot of fun portraying him.

Chicken Police is one of the best debuts you'll ever see. The gameplay was mostly a detective tale, with LA Noire-style interrogation techniques and deduction moments, but the fun was in chatting to everyone in the world. With a group of misfits and outcasts, it made vague sense that they were presented as raccoons, bloodhounds, caymans, and even komodo dragons.

For a long time, we've yearned for an experience similar to the original Silent Hill games. Sure, we had a taste of PT before it was abruptly cancelled, but there hasn't been anything like it in a long time. Having played far too many horror games this year, and the most are clumsy and funny, with a handful that seem to be dull. But then Visage sprang from the mud, and it gave us the chills.

Visage relished the opportunity to tease you with darkness. Shocks are more likely to occur in the dark, so when night falls, the lights go out, or the switches are turned, you're at your most exposed. Thank you, SadSquare Studios, for making the darkness creepy enough without slamming a nightmare granny in the midst of it.
