The Pokémon media brand consists of a series of video games created by Game Freak and released by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. The initial games, Pocket Monsters Red and Green, were launched in Japan in 1996 for the Game Boy and were subsequently renamed Pokémon Red and Blue outside of Japan. They were created by Satoshi Tajiri with assistance from Ken Sugimori. Each generation of Nintendo's handhelds has continued the primary series of role-playing video games (RPGs), dubbed the "core series" by its creators.
Generations of the core games are published, each with its own set of Pokémon, stories, and characters. Remakes of games are often published a decade after the original versions on the most recent console available at the time. While the primary series comprise, RPGs created by Game Freak, several spin-off games based on the series have been created by various businesses, spanning genres such as action role-playing, puzzle, combat, and digital pet games.
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Game Freak presented Pokémon Scarlet & Violet during February's Pokémon Presents, confirming that the ninth generation of Pokémon is on the way. On February 27, 2022, on Pokémon Day, Generation 9 was revealed. Many fans expected nothing more than a Legends Arceus update, but when Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were introduced, they were taken by surprise.
Trainers will have a lot to think about in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, with a whole new open-world locale (yes, open world!), starters, and more.
While we don't know much about the new games, we did get a look at all three Pokémon Scarlet and Violet starters, as well as some pictures of the new Mediterranean-themed territory. It's unusual to see definite information so close to a release, but when the three cute new starters appeared on our screens at the conclusion of the announcement trailer, the internet went crazy. It's safe to say that this new trio will not be quacked, miaowed, or snapped at. We also found that the release date for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet will be somewhere in 2022, barely two years after the release of the last mainstream game, Pokémon Sword and Shield. We can already tell that these games have improved graphics quality over the generation eight releases, so it's intriguing to speculate about what further Pokémon expansions we could see.
The February 27 announcement movie offers a preview of the new open-world region's expansive landscape, offering players a sense of what the Gen IX region will look like during the day, evening, and night.
It's rich with greenery and teeming with wild Pokémon, including the Hisuian Zoroark from the Hisui region, as well as fan favorites from previous Generations like Lucario, Larvitar, and Seviper.
A city is also depicted, complete with a massive tower in the center (what could this be?!), as well as the male protagonist's home and bedroom.
The Pokémon Company revealed on its website that Gen 9 would have complete open-world gameplay, which is a first for the series.
Scarlet and Violet will be "seamless," unlike Legends Arceus, which had enormous parts divided into areas that trainees could travel between. This implies there will be no separate loading windows for various regions; everything will load in as one.
The text says, "Various communities melt effortlessly into the forest with no borders." "You'll see Pokémon from this area in the air, the oceans, the forests, the streets, and everywhere else!" You'll be able to experience the series' core joy—battling wild Pokémon to catch them—in an open-world game suitable for gamers of all ages.
Now let’s check out the newly introduced starters for the generation,
Our new favorite forest-dwelling feline is Sprigatito, a grass-type cat Pokémon. Sprigatito is officially described as "the capricious, attention-seeking grass cat Pokémon," but we doubt he'll have to work too hard for it, given many trainers have previously named the kitten as their favorite grass-type starter in previous generations. All we can hope for is that this grass cat stays on all fours throughout the transformation process, avoiding the humanoid evolutionary line.
We've seen water and ground-type croc Pokémon before, but Fuecoco is the first time we've seen a fire-type croc. Fuecoco appears to be the most docile of the new initial three, and he appears to be considerably more shy than prior generations' crocs. It'll be interesting to see if Fuecoco follows in the footsteps of other fire-breathing croc-monsters and evolves into a furious fire-breathing croc-monster in his final form. Personally, we hope he keeps his cuteness.
Quaxly, the duckling Pokémon, is the water-type starter on the bill. Quaxly is the only new Pokémon with its own hat, making it the most fashionable of the lot, but we're more enthusiastic about the idea of a water/flying-type ultimate evolution for this beginning Pokémon. There have been starting evolution lines with fire/flying and grass/flying types, but the aquatic birds have yet to receive attention, so we're hopeful that Pokémon Scarlet & Violet will change that.
At the time of writing, neither the name nor the location of the new area has been announced. Regardless, all indications point to it being based in Iberia. The announcement trailer's background included a map that resembled the Iberian Peninsula, which is home to Spain and Portugal. The trailer also had various allusions to Spain, including a massive structure that resembled the Sagrada Familia cathedral, the Plaza de Espana, and the Sanabria Lake.
Only one variation between the Scarlet and Violet has been discovered thus far, and that is the protagonists. Both games will include a pair of distinct playable characters, depending on which one you pick. This is a first for the mainstream series. Scarlet's and Violet's outfits are quite identical, with the exception of the colours: Scarlet's are red and blue, while Violet's are purple and white.
Gen 9 Legendaries
Game Freak was tight-lipped on the Legendary mascots for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet at the unveiling, so nothing has been confirmed yet. Despite this, keen eyes saw two shield emblems on a wall embossed with an orange and a grape logo in the video. The fruit was also displayed on a table in a bowl. Some have speculated that the Legendaries are hinted at on the official box art. But what does it all mean? Only time can tell if this is reality.
Since a release date has yet not been announced for the game, you can try various other gaming titles or can learn facts about Pokémon type charts, cards, or Pokémon natures. Pokémon Sword and Shield is the latest addition to the roster of Pokémon games available for fans. The most famous title in the rooster of Pokémon games is Pokémon Go. The took the world to a standstill within one month of its release. The game has a number of Pokémon in-game events introduced every month.
