According to a new press release from EA and DICE, the Battlefield 2042 open beta will commence on October 8 on all supported platforms. Pre-ordered players will have access to the beta two days early, on October 6 at 00:00 PT/03:00 ET/08:00 BST. Two recent leaks, one from Chinese streaming provider Bilibili and the other from Origin, back up the announcement. The beta will be available for pre-loading on October 5 and finish on October 10 in the morning.

Battlefield 2042 beta codes, those who pre-ordered the game received early access. Battlefield 2042 beta codes, which started circulating among pre-order consumers last week, also hinted at a release date.

Players on almost all consoles will be able to play the new games through Conquest's large-scale game option (limited to 64 players on PS4 and Xbox One) and fight for control of objectives on the Orbital map. The dates are outlined in a new teaser, which also shows a glimpse of the games you'll be able to play.

Battlefield 2042 focuses on the large-scale battle, with the single-player narrative being dropped in favor of the game's distinctive online multiplayer. This implies 128-player lobbies on new consoles and PC and some of the most extensive Battlefield maps ever created, complete with catastrophic weather and map-altering events.

Like the previous Battlefield hardline and battlefield 1 open beta version, battlefield 2042 will be far more impressive.

This isolated space complex in French Guiana contains a comprehensive warfare facility, complete with a massive rocket ready for launch. On the other hand, the battles serve as a trigger for chaos, with a powerful tornado and an unsteady rocket launch both providing immediate threat.

Players may now swap weapon attachments on the go and order on-demand vehicles, thanks to an increase in the gadgetry on offer.

Those who participate in the beta's adrenaline-fueled action will be able to try out four different specialists. Each specialist has their own set of skills to bring to the battlefield. All of the Battlefield 2042 Beta Specialists will be available in the following order:

  • Webster Mackay

  • Maria Falck

  • Pyotr “Boris” Guskovsky

  • Wikus “Casper” Van Daele

The Open Beta will have one game mode and one map, according to the official announcement. In the Conquest game option, players will be able to jump into the Orbital Map.  Battlefield Portal and Hazard Zone, Battlefield's new Escape From Tarkov-style squad-based game mode, are both known to exist. Battlefield fans may be able to try out these exciting new game modes ahead of time, but the Battlefield 2042 beta could potentially be limited to standard Battlefield multiplayer gameplay.

We should also expect to try out a restricted number of terrain, weaponry, vehicles, and specialists. Temporal, a Battlefield data miner, has dug deep into the game files to unearth a slew of valuable secrets. Over 22 weapons will be available in the entire game, including the SCAR, Vector, SAW, and Cobra R9 Crossbow.

Minimum battlefield 2042 system requirements are as follows:

64-bit Windows 10, AMD Ryzen 5 3600 for AMD Processor or Core i5 for Intel Processor core. RAM and Graphic card should be at least 8GB and 4GB, respectively.

The type of graphics card for NVIDIA should be Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, and for AMD, it should be Radeon RX 560. Memory hard drive space required is at least 100 GB and a fast internet connection.

As the name implies, the Battlefield 2042 open beta is open to everyone. The game is accessible for free on console and PC markets, with a direct store to follow. The beta will be downloaded through the Microsoft Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S users and from the PlayStation Store for PS4 and PS5 users. PC users have various options, including EA's Origin client, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. While downloads begin on October 5, access begins on October 8 once the early access period has ended. With the full game launching on November 19, EA should have approximately a month and a half to make the required tweaks based on the Battlefield 2042 beta feedback.

Those who want to play Battlefield 2042 as soon as possible must complete several requirements to get "early access" on October 6. Anyone who pre-orders Battlefield 2042 or has a valid EA Play or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership will get early access.

Battlefield 2042 is available for presale in three different variants, each of which includes guaranteed early access to the next beta. Pre-orders are still the best way to get into the Battlefield 2042 beta, and you still have a few weeks to cancel if you decide the game isn't for you.

Battlefield 2042's standard version includes complete access to the game upon launch, early beta access, and a variety of cosmetic goodies packaged with pre-orders. Early access at launch is included with the Gold Edition and twelve months of material via the Year 1 Pass, which provides future playable Specialists. Similar perks are included in the Ultimate Edition and other unique cosmetics that are only available as part of this $120 package. These two editions additionally offer cross-generational compatibility, making them compatible with earlier systems while also being updated for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

Although it's normal to practice for many games, Electronic Arts haven't said whether Battlefield 2042 gamers would receive exclusive rewards for participating in the beta. Throughout the game, Battlefield 2042 will offer a variety of decorative player card backgrounds and charms to earn, including unique designs and rewards for beta testers. As Electronic Arts discusses its open beta launch, we anticipate learning more.
